Standard Chartered powers crypto custody for TP ICAP institutional trading platform

Standard Chartered powers crypto custody infrastructure for TP ICAP's Fusion Digital Assets to support institutional digital asset demand.

TP ICAP is one of the world’s largest interdealer brokers and wholesale market infrastructure firms, serving many of the largest banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and market makers globally.

Unlike crypto-native exchanges such as Coinbase or Binance, TP ICAP’s Fusion Digital Assets is designed to recreate institutional OTC and wholesale market infrastructure for digital assets using the same operational logic traditional financial institutions already understand.

That includes:

- segregated custody

- institutional settlement workflows

- operational resilience

- counterparty risk management

- familiar execution infrastructure

Through this partnership, Standard Chartered provides the custody and settlement backbone supporting Fusion’s institutional trading environment.

As institutions increasingly engage with digital assets, the competitive focus is shifting away from simply offering crypto exposure toward building institutional-grade market infrastructure.

Margaret Harwood-Jones, Global Head of Financing and Securities Services at Standard Chartered: " We're offering an end-to-end proposition so clients can access liquidity through Fusion digital assets, and they can be confident in the operational resilience and stability of the custody and settlement agent of Standard Chartered sitting behind that."

Simon Forster, Global Co-Head of Digital Assets at TP ICAP: "Tokenization will rewrite financial markets.  This next step in our journey is going to help us deliver the safest, most secure, and simplest access to our shared clients in digital assets."
